Echo Their Joyous Strain

    “The song of the angels.”  That’s what Martin Luther called the Gloria in Excelsis.  It is the heavenly song of the Angels from the night when Christ was born.  It’s origin, however, is much earlier than Luther, yea, it comes from the early centuries of the church.

How Wide the Love of Christ

God’s love for us is astounding.  Look at what humanity has done: we kill, slander, lie, lust, steal, hate, and are loveless towards our neighbors and especially towards God.  We are the reason Christ died.  In that through-death-way, however, God showed his love for us.  He reconciled all men to himself.  Christ dying for us is really what the Gospel is

Cling to Christ

What do you really get to do when you go to seminary?  Well, you get to read cool languages, read lots of books, go to church, and drink lots and lots....and I mean loads of coffee!  You also get to be a nerd in your spare time - though I'm not sure all seminarians take part in that.

The Hot-Seat

I like watching Law & Order: Criminal Intent.  I like watching Detectives Eames and Goran, or Falacci and Logan figure out the case.  It’s especially interesting when they get the different, maybe sometimes expected, suspects in the interrogation room
