Davidson v. Badgers

March is one of my favorite times of year. I get to watch all the college basketball I can handle. It's great - NIT, NCAA. Tomorrow my Badgers get to face Davidson. I'm a little nervous actually. Davidson seems to be living up to there name-sake David, and they keep knocking off the goliath team. First Gonzaga, and then Georgetown. Gonzaga was kind of weak this year, but Georgetown was good. Though Wisconsin should be okay since they are playing better than they did in the Big Ten Tournament. I'm fairly confident (crosses fingers) that my Badgers can shoot the rock and finally snuff the giant killer.

Saturday the Badgers have probably the biggest game of the season, Iowa. I'm not going to lie....I really don't like Iowa. But we have been stomping out every Big Ten team with the exception of Michigan (#2). We've lost to Iowa the past few years, but now were are poised to take the Heartland Trophy from them. We're ranked 16th, and poised to be in a bowl game. We should stomp those puny Hawkeyes into the ground. On Wisconsin!!!

Yesterday the Wisconsin Badgers play the Minnesota Gophers and stomped them by a whopping 48-12. This is a rivalry dating back to 1890, and we even have a trophy to prove it. It's Paul Bunyan's Axe and my mighty Badgers have held it now for three strait years. Not only that, but now my Badgers are solidly third place in the Big Ten all thanks to Iowa's loss. And we're only on game back from Michigan. "If you want to be a Badger, just come along with me, By the light, by the light, by the light of the moon."

On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin
Plunge right through that line,
Run the ball clear down the field, boys
Touchdown sure this time
On Wisconsin, On Wisconsin
Fight on for her fame,
Fight, Fellows, Fight, Fight, Fight
We'll win this game!
