Bloghardt's Reflector

“If now I seek the forgiveness of sins, I do not run to the cross, for I will not find it given there… But I will find in the sacrament or Gospel the word which distributes, presents, offers, and gives to me that forgiveness which was won on the Cross.” (AE 40, 214)

Losing a gift?

Posted At: 4:17pm by Bloghardt
It's sometimes hard to remember that the players in college football games are just kids.  They are teenagers.  Those kids played their hearts out.  No one wants to lose, tries to lose.  It just happens.

It's painful.  It hurts to lose.

The question is what does the Lord teach us when we lose?   How can losing be a gift too?

We'll talk more about this after I get my sermon done (grin)

It was their super alien powers...

CENTERTON, Ark. -- The mayor of an Arkansas town resigned on Wednesday, claiming he was abducted and brainwashed by Satan worshippers nearly three decades ago.

I had LSU winning in the pickoff contest for Friday's college football games (went 9-1). How bout them Texas Aggies beating the Longhorns for the 2nd straight year. Blogger Smiley
