Bloghardt's Reflector

“If now I seek the forgiveness of sins, I do not run to the cross, for I will not find it given there… But I will find in the sacrament or Gospel the word which distributes, presents, offers, and gives to me that forgiveness which was won on the Cross.” (AE 40, 214)

Bloghardt on Exorcist: The Beginning

Posted At: 3:38am by Bloghardt

Hollywood is getting back into the whole demon thing (Constantine, the Exorcist, etc.).  It is a known fact that Bloghardt doesn't like scary movies.  So Netflix delivers this movie and Saw, it means that he has seen EVERY other movie of interest... (Smile)

WHAT WAS HELPFUL:  Thumbs up for props for the external Word:  the distance from the demon doesn't matter, only the external Word.  I thought the actually exorcism was pretty cool.

WHAT WASN'T HELPFUL:  Roman superstitions, Saints stuff, Mary stuff, excessive and unnecessary gore, and predictable plot and characters.

RATING:  I actually watched the whole movie.  I give it a 6/10.

What were your thoughts on this movie?

Re: Bloghardt on Exorcist: The Beginning

I'm guessing that you're not going to watch Saw. No offense Pastor, but i'm seeing the phrase "Bloghardt doesn't like scary movies" as a euphimism for "Bloghardt can't handle the scariness of, well, scary movies."

Re: Bloghardt on Exorcist: The Beginning

You? you watched the entire thing? did you take you clerical away from your eyes? did you eat your jacket (don't deny it, you at more jacket than gummies in Hide and Seek). i haven't seen the that movie, but i will read the HT article

Re: Bloghardt on Exorcist: The Beginning

clutching clerical and eating jacket? i am willing to bet that movie was worse than Hide and Seek. i can only imagine how far down in his chair he must have sunk...
