to Linux!  (heh)

I don't know how this is gonna go, but right now I'm fairly pleased with it.

I'm gonna look into getting some of the stuff that i love on my PC to work in linux and then I'm done!

Dude... why? Linux is great for servers - nothing beats it, in my not so humble opinion. But for your PC? Whyyy?

I did Linux all summer. It requires so much configuration everytime you want to do anything...if you have a good distro. Or you can go with a distro like Red Hat or Mandriva - but those are like Windows wanna-bes that don't do Windows as well as Windows does.

I just don't understand... Why? Whyyy?

If you want a really good unix box, just buy a Mac. ;-P

Another sad story of denial on the part of a PC user. Let's see.

First, there's anger ("I hate Microsoft!"),
then bargaining ("Maybe Service Pack 2 will fix this problem"),
then denial ("I'll convert to Linux"),
then depression ("Nothing makes a PC work right").

Finally there is blissful acceptance: Macintosh.

Grief is a slow process.
