My LSU Tigers captured the SEC West last night with a 19-17 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
I still think college football needs a playoff system. Consider the situation now. Even if LSU hadn't lost to Tennessee earlier this year, they still would be the odd-man out of the UT/USC love fest at the Rose Bowl. Even if one of those two teams loses, Penn State (Ranked #4) hops over my boys and goes to the Rose Bowl.
It's really simple: 4 teams play for the title. That means one extra game. Why doesn't the NCAA want one extra game? What's up with that?
Well, that's dreaming, this is reality: LSU won the "Golden Boot" last night and won the SEC West. Next week we play for the SEC Championship against Georgia. Geaux Tigers!

Pastor,
Congrats on a 10-1 season and a berth into the SEC Championship game. Les Miles will be considered for the national coach of the year. The BCS is messed up right now, no doubt about it. I don't think the playoff system will work for two reasons. One, a 12th game has been added for next season. Injuries and academics tolled on these student athletes. The second reason is bowl games which equal big $. I think they should add a 5th game to the BCS bowls. You are not the only one who's sick of the media's love fest with tu/ USC. I caught the last 15 minutes of College Gameday this morning and they spent most of it on Reggie Bush and USC. Pretty impressed by Arkansas they hung tough with y'all. The Ags almost upset the t-sips! The Ags had a good showing and brought some intensity back to this rivalry. The Ags outplayed tu. There's a bright future for Aggie football! Kelsey was there in the south end zone where true freshman Jorvorski "J-train" Lane (the next Jerome Bettis) threw a td to Jason Carter via a trick play. How about Stephen McGee (#15) making his 1st start! The Ags ran over the #6 defense! Kyle Field had it's 4th largest crowd ever and it was rocking. There was talk about some Aggie fans doing a "mini-boycott" b/c nobody thought this wou be a 4th qtr game! There was a lot of that dirty orange color in the stands more than usual ( from what I heard most of the tu fans were civil and were impressed) Dana Pyle called me after the game and said he was surprised and thought the Ags were going to get steamrolled. Our much maligned defense showed up! Now Aggie fans are asking themselves where was this heart and motivation all year. The way the Ags played yesterday was incredible! It's a good game to build off. The younger players that had to come in replaced the injured starters have gain a lot of experience and the program is better off for it!

Congrats, padre, on your tigers win. I don't particularly care for the BCS bowl game system either. I think the best out of the whole country should play each other to determine the national championship. Hard to determine the best when the playing field is unfair, but alas...
Cameron, I love your ability to turn an aggie defeat into something positive (however streatched it may be). I have to say McGee did pretty good for his first time out the shoot, though the deck was pretty stacked against him. I have to admit my boys didn't get me my 30 pt spread, but a win is a win. And there would have been a bit more even distribution of orange in the stands had the aggies sold us any tickets . well, we just won't sell them any tickets to the championship game next weekend... oh wait, they won't be needing them.
Go Horns! Big 12 South Champions (soon to be Big 12 champions by weeks end). See you in California!~FL1
ps - Why does your picture look photoshoped, padre?
