The Reverend Michael R. Scudder showed his true colors in Texas this week! Pastor Scudder is one of the Admission Counselors at Concordia Theological Seminary. He's the pastor-elect of Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, IA.
Pastor Scudder also has another unique gift. For some reason I can't say his name without chuckling to myself. Scudder... heh heh heh. Try it, you'll smile too!
On his last recruiting trip to Texas, Pastor Scudder and his son stopped to play a little softball with us. Here he is sporting a very cool DTBL shirt!
I am, of course, sporting my Lenten purple and gold LSU cap.
Pastor Scudder and his Tomball crew lost to us 9-7. Woohoo! But, he did manage to get an rbi single. I'm sure he's feeling the softball game still. I know I am (ack!) [ read more ]

One of the true gifts of having a bishop (that would be my senior pastor) is that not only is he like a father to me, but every now and again he comes in and brightens my day.
