Dear everyone,
Following is a great opportunity made available through LCMS World Relief and Human Care.

MERCY MISSION EXPEDITION
Still working on your summer plans? Ever wished you could be part of a service trip? During the first two weeks of June, LCMS World Relief and Human Care will be taking two groups of college students to the hurricane affected areas to show Christ's love and mercy to those in need. You could be one of those students!
This service trip will provide you with an opportunity to work alongside fellow students as you reach out and offer a touch of mercy to our neighbors in need in the Southern district. LCMS World Relief and Human Care will cover the basic cost of the trip for each student. We ask that upon returning from this service trip, you present your experience to ten (10) congregations within one year. We will put together a basic presentation for you to use, to which you can add your own personal experience. This way we can share with hundreds of Christians the work that has been done, on behalf of Christ and his Church.

P.S. It has come to our attention that many of you are concerned about making presentations to ten churches upon return from the service trip. Please do not let this deter you from applying! It is important that you have an opportunity to share your experience in showing Christ's love and mercy to the hurricane victims with as many people as possible. We will work with you to find churches, school classrooms, and other groups that wish to have a presentation made to them. It is our goal to facilitate you in sharing your experience with ten groups; however, we are flexible and understand that sometimes exceptions need to be made.
