One Month to Go!

Posted At: 5:33pm by Sandra Ostapowich

You've dreamed, you've planned, you've met, you've gotten excited - now it's time to get those registrations completed!  The registration period for the 2008 Higher Things "Amen" conferences closes on March 1, 2008.

It's just over one more month to go before Registration closes for the 2008 Amen conferences. Even if you're just now giving the conference serious consideration, that's still practically eons to get organized in youth-ministry-time! And you even have one extra day with February 29 this year!

There's plenty of room at all three conferences in Scranton, St. Louis and Irvine - but you only have until March 1, 2008 to get your groups registered. For more information, check out our website at www.amen2008.org, email us at conferences@higherthings.org, or call us toll free at 1-800-HT-CONF08 today!

2008 Lenten Reflections Now Available!

Posted At: 7:37am by Rev. Mark Buetow
The Holy Season of Lent is just around the corner. The Higher Things Daily Reflections for Lent point us away from ourselves to Jesus who did all things and suffered all things to save us. The Reflections remind us that this salvation is not just something that happened a long time ago. It is given, delivered and bestowed in the holy means of grace. This year's Lenten Reflections are written by the Rev. Mark Buetow, Bethel Lutheran Church, Du Quoin, Illinois and Higher Things' own Internet Services Executive.

Beat the January rush!

Posted At: 3:00pm by Sandra Ostapowich

January has historically been the busiest time for Higher Things conference registrations.  Last year, the Minneapolis "For You" conference filled up before January 15.  In 2006, "The Feast" was full with over 100 people on the waiting list by the first week of February.

There's still room at all THREE locations of the 2008 "Amen" conferences, but it's best to get your registrations in sooner rather than later!  Once the registrations start coming, they come quickly.

For the first time, Higher Things is having its annual Lutheran youth conference in three locations, at campuses on both the east and west coasts of the United States and smack-dab in the middle (well, close enough anyway!).  Whether your group wants to explore the historic Poconos of Pennsylvania from June 24-27 or take in the fireworks and fun in St. Louis from July 1-4 or catch a few rays at the beach and visit a reknown Lutheran college in sunny Irvine, California from July 15-18, we've got a conference for you!

All sorts of other information about the 2008 "Amen" conferences, and Higher Things conferences in general, is available at our website

Still have questions?  Email conferences@higherthings.org or call 1-888-HTCONF08.

In Christ,

Sandra Ostapowich
2008 "Amen" Conference Coordinator
Higher Things, Inc.
