Have you heard about this
movie?
It looks really good - maybe even up there with The Passion. Somehow I don't think that Pope Benedict would arrange for a premiere of the movie at the Vatican (the first ever) if it looked like it'd be a DaVinci Code-esque flick.
It looks like the story covers the Annunciation through the Slaughter of the Innocents, escape to Egypt and visit of the magi. It'll be interesting to see how Mary is portrayed, considering the hubbub surrounding The Passion and its depiction of her. And the characters look great, especially Mary, with the Biblical accounts serving as historical authorities for the story.
The Nativity Story opens on December 1 - just in time for Advent. Great timing! My senior youth group just happens to have our "Martha Stewart" lock-in scheduled for that evening. A trip to the late show sounds like a GREAT activity for the night, doesn't it? (ignoring the whole lock-IN concept of course...)
