What a Kindergartener Looks Like

Posted On: August 27th, 2007 at 7:44 pm

Today was the first day of Kindergarten for Isaac.  No, that's not fear that's just what happens when a 5 yr old gets a hold of the camera while mom is getting ready.  I also have a lovely set of pictures of the carpet, the kitchen floor, assorted walls, and the cat fleeing for his life.  It's hard to believe this is the same itty bitty 5 lb, 12 oz baby in the banner picture above!  I asked him last night after prayers what happened to my baby Isaac.  He said "I grew up and now I'm a five-year-old (with 5 fingers splayed out for me to see).  But I can still be a baby in your heart because you're the most beautiful mommy in the world and I love you."

Favorite Color:  Orange
Favorite activity at home:  Riding his razor scooter and playing cars
Pets:  Jitterbug, Franklin Hot Lava, and Benedict
Best part of the first day of Kindergarten:  "Painting our hands and putting them on the yellow paper with red paint on my left hand."
New friends:  Miss Watts, Ethan

She looks about the same age as the Ob/gyn who delivered my son in January.

Face it - we are getting old.
