Inadvertent and Occasionally Intentional Thoughts

What's my name? Denny Crane

FINALLY!  My new favorite show, Boston Legal returns tonight, before all the other shows this season.  Granted, it's a rerun, but we've been starved since mid-spring and haven't had the joy of Boston Legal reruns yet this summer.  It almost makes up for 24 not starting up again until January.

I know, I know.  Shatner.  I KNOW.  But this is no Captain Kirk or Priceline.com type role.  He plays an extremely arrogant, once great lawyer in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's Syndrome.  It works out great with his lack of acting skill, but he does have comedic timing.  He and Candace Bergen (of Murphy Brown fame) and James Spader make a surprisingly good team.  Really.  Give it a shot.

Warning: It is in the 9pm slot on ABC so it's somewhat more "grownup" (content, raciness) than primetime (7-9pm) network TV shows.  If that sort of thing offends you, you probably shouldn't watch.

Although I've only seen two episodes of it, I really love the show, and I'm not usually too big of a fan of legal shows (although I did enjoy The Practice) but Boston Legal's hilarious.

"Someone.....some...ONE is ac-tualy dissing on MY performance, on my character work? I just can NOT ....CAN NOT beeeee subjecteeeeed to this. I was the Captain of THE ENTERPRISE!!!

Khaaaaaaaaan! Khaaaaaaan! Khaaaaaaaaaaaan!"

-A Response from Mr. Shatner upon the recent news of his criticisms for his work on Star Trek, the television show, and seven subsequent Star Trek feature films.

Notes Mr. Shanter's publicist," My Shatner denies all responsibility for any performance whatsoever of something called, "T.J. Hooker." He was *not* involved.
