On Pins and Needles

Posted At: 10:51am by Sandra Ostapowich

Since breaking my back in a car accident my senior year of high school, my body frequently goes out of whack - and sometimes stays there.  I've learned to just deal with it as much as possible.  A little Advil or muscle relaxers and some rest with carefully placed pillows would usually do the trick.

Yesterday afternoon, I went in for an adjustment and he recommended acupuncture since my back is no longer out of whack but the muscles are pretty much in constant spasm.  Sure, I'll try anything.  I figure if it works, it works.

Posted At: 12:50pm by Sandra Ostapowich

The country's first Muslim was elected as a state representative.  From Minnesota of all places.

In a state known for its high voter turnout, Keith Ellison (D) soundly defeated both the Republican and Independence party candidates for his district.  Even without running radio or TV ads.  Ellison is also the first African American from Minnesota to be elected as a state representative.

Another reason to love Loveland!

Posted At: 10:11pm by Sandra Ostapowich

Loveland soon could be wired without the wires.

More than one company is proposing to install a network that would supply high-speed wireless Internet to paying customers throughout Loveland city limits — and they also are pitching the idea to Fort Collins.

Although it could take months before Loveland has citywide WiFi, city officials are excited about the possibility — especially because it would cost the city little or nothing but would benefit residents, businesses and government services.
