Anan's (not-so) Randomness!

No quotation marks... We wouldn't want to seem too uppity, now would we?

La dee da

Posted At: 10:07pm by Anan

So... All I know is that I've been gone for a while and now I'm back. Maybe if something really crazy and odd happens I might remember what happened between June 11th and 15th... <Imaginary brother walks through room with a pile of laundry> Aaaahhhhh!!!!!!! It's all coming back!!!! (not that I don't have enough real brothers... I just need imaginary ones to keep me jumping.)

Last sunday after church Dad, Matthew, Martin, and I all went biking. Martin got tired before Matthew and I so he and Dad turned back. Matthew and yours truly arrived at our friend Charlotte's house soon after. I (being the smrt person that I am) urged Matthew that we needed to hurry home.  Ahem, Matthew's new nick-name is "Slow-Zone". When we got back home everyone spazzed  at me because I didn't have much time before leaving for the Rhein's and then Fort Wayne. I made it in time believe it or not.

(For the few people reading this who haven't actually talked to me in person: I was going to the Primer Organist Workshop at Fort Wayne Sem., that's why I had to leave.)

After we arrived and settled in Maggie and I wandered about campus, we even fed pebbles to the poor geese. Later in the dorm Maggie re-introduced me to the game Speed Trash. I couldn't remember what it was even though I helped invent it! How sad is that? Oh yeah! We also snuck in and checked out the Sem's new practice organ! Mwahahaha!

Monday morning I donned the Dress dress and headed off to morning prayer, then breakfast. On the way to the first Theology session Maggs and I ran into Lydia and Wendi. We were all in a hurry that day and I don't remember us talking much at all... Hmmm... Chapel was warm but nothing compared to Emmaus. ;-p The Service of Communion was amazingly efficent! We only sang two hymns! *GASP*  Afterwards a random seminarian in dark sunglasses asked what country I was from because he thought I was talking with an Australian accent. I told him that I was a native South Bend Hillbilly and laughed accordingly. Then we had coffee break and us girly girls were 5 minutes late for our first playing class. Kantor Resch was the one who pointed out the time to us...

I seem to remember sleeping that night. Just as I'm going to do tonight so y'all will just have to wait for the next installment.

Re: La dee da

Impressive. Pity your poor younger brothers, though, who have their work cut out for them keeping up with you.

Only two hymns!? Good gravy. I hope they were long ones ;-)

I am scandalized that you were late for your first class. Then again, I notice that you posted these comments at 3:07 a.m. I hope you weren't staying up that late in Fort Wayne! If you were, or even close, I'm frankly surprised and impressed that you made it to class at all.

Seriously, I'm very pleased that you and Margaret got to go, and that you had such a good experience. Great!

Ha ha ha! FYI the Higher Things blog clock is all messed up... It was 10:30 p.m. at the latest when I wrote this post.

Actually the hymns weren't very long at all...

In case y'all couldn't tell, that was only the first installment. I plan to write more on my trip so just be patient.

Re: La dee da

I'm still waiting for the next installment.....
