Cake Decorating Experiment Under Pressure

Is this wise? I think not...

The most memorable part of Harry #7 for me was Harry's birthday cake. It's been lurking in the back of my mind haunting me ever since I read about it... So I'm making it tomorrow. :-D

The wings won't be the right proportion but they'll be edible! Ha! Not counting the wires that support them... <rubs cornstarch off hands> Yup, I'm mightee proud of them wings so far. So ya'll who won't be at Zach's graduation party are *SO* missing out on the coolest cake ever!!!! Of course now that I'm gloating my concoction will fail miserably. Matthew pointed out that Harry's cake was most likely held together by magic... Mrs. Weasley is a cheater if that is so. Of course I have the magic of my cakousness to count on. ;-p

That is clearly not fair as I am gone.

You (or someone else) will be taking many pictures of that cake, and that is a statement, not a question.

The cake turned out great in my humble opinion and yes there will be pictures. I think it would be very marketable. I am such the proud MaMa!

As Mom pointed out it is finished. It would have been easier to make it look gold if I had a cake decorating air brush... As it is I got luster dust all over everything (including the cake) but it's good for a first try. The wings are more coppery than I would like but it all works together pretty well. I'll post pictures as soon as I can.
