Blaa

Posted At: 4:51pm by Anan

I'm married to this blog. I promised it would be my one and only blog forever. Then did I break my marriage vow by posting on Sew Retro? Most likely yes. It's easier to just put pictures on a blogger blog. Sorry, BlogSCL 2.2.0. (btw look at Sew Retro)

I've been working at Heavenly Ham this week. What fun. Basically I wrap glazed hams in foil. I do other stuff of course but mostly wrapping. They offered me a job working on Saturdays and all next summer. I'm going to take it. Mom was talking to the manager and said something about me applying at Panera, "No! She doesn't want to work there!"- Manager   Hehehe... No, I won't be spending my whole summer wrapping hams. They would like me to work up front making sandwiches and other fun stuff. Excitement!

Re: Blaa

I like the post you made on the Sew Retro blog, and I notice that you already have a number of nice comments in response. The dress really is quite lovely. You did a nice job with it. I'm glad you had the fabric and the opportunity to put it together. Well done.

Re: Blaa

You doesn't wants to work at Panera???

Hehe. Me finishing CHRISTmass presents. Maybe me gets you ham. You needs it.

(Don't worry, it's still me under all this gunky grammar)

I wasn't totally opposed to working at Panera... but *they* didn't give me a job *offer*. Plus I have a Lutheran boss. Ha!

I already have a ham thanks. (They gave it to us as a gift! It's a $50 "Heavenly Half Ham". Mom freaked out when she heard.)

Re: Blaa

Hope you have a happy holiday having your heavenly half ham from Heavenly Ham!

Re: Blaa

Great dress. Wish I could sew like that.

Wish I had the patience (aside)

Ha! I'm *anything* but patient. I'm sure you could sew like that. You really don't give yourself enough credit daaaling.

Re: Blaa

Hey! This is totally random, but I found you via the Sew Retro blog. I LOVED that dress you did! When I read that you were going to wear it to a Lutheran youth retreat, I was thinking: "Hmm. Higher Things? ....Naaaah." But then I clicked on your link and got here! (I went to the 2006 one in Colorado.) Needless to say, it's great to find another vintage sewer type person who is Lutheran to boot (and homeschooled? i was too)! Blogger Smiley

Great job again on the dress!

I love random! :P
Actually I wore a *different* 50s dress to the retreat. I haven't been able to get pictures of it yet.

I was at The Feast as well. I was the girl who wore a tiara every day.
