Anan's (not-so) Randomness!

No quotation marks... We wouldn't want to seem too uppity, now would we?

PINK!

This is the official "Valentine" template. Aint it cute? I think so. :p

There's nothing like spending Valentines Day with your 5yo brother. We made a snowman together. "In the meadow we will build a snowman, and pretend that he is Parson Brown". Well actually Benjamin named him "Max". I gave Max a handspun scarf, baseball hat, crazy twig hair, a grocery sack (stomach), car keys (to a FAST, shiny car of course), and a gun. Max is taller than me. Yup. Lots of fun.

Random news: My favorite song of late is Missing You By Allison Krauss.

This day wouldn't be complete without pictures of an awesome red dress. So here it is: (Yes, I know the picture is the pits...)

And the bodice! (Another crummy picture...)

Ok. So it's cooler in person. But I happen to be all alone so I can't really show it to anyone. Hmph.

That's a pretty dress. I've really wanted to sew lately, but don't have the time, and I'm not home around the sewing machine enough. Yesterday though I went to HobbyLobby and picked up some light purple tulle that I'm going to use to make a frill around the bottom of one of my dresses that isn't quite long enough for comfort! I'm sorry if that sentence was hard to understand. I'm excited about it though. I get to go home this weekend.

I actually didn't make this dress! It was my Grandmother's when she was in high school.

It would be nice to be able to sew all weekend... Good for you!

Do you wear it? I have a deep purple velvet dress my grandma made when she was in high school. It's still gorgeous and I wear it on special occasions.

I'm not supposed to wear it unless I have a dance or something to go to. *makes a weird face* I only have it at my house so I can fix the hem. There's also a floor-length pink tule gown with silver bodice embroidery, but it's still staying safe at Grandma's.
