Anan's (not-so) Randomness!

(No, this isn't the blog post I had in mind this afternoon. That one is yet to be.)

So... The last pattern (*not* the wedding dress... the other one) I posted about is so not top on my list anymore. I made the mistake of clicking on the "50's Advance" pattern link at Past Patterns again. Ack! Anna you fool! Here's the crummy picture:

I absolutely adore both views. There are several others that I like just as much. Like this one:

But it isn't exactly a winter dress... Pish tosh. Oooh! Gloves! I should pack those....

Oh yeah! I'm leaving tommorrow for Marshall, MI where I'll be attending a (HT?) Youth Retreat. There is a stinkin' dance and Mom is trying to bribe me to have fun. We'll see if that works. 

Mommy Daaaling is shocked that I'm not in the basement sewing. Ho hum. Maybe I will. Maybe I won't. I'm not feeling very productive tonight.

I'm the only one I know of who doesn't think this cake is wonderful. I don't even mind the straws that you can see supporting the wings that much... I think it's the fact that the wings are the wrong color and that the cake got more attention than Zach! (In my humble opinion.)

I must say that the whole thing was very easy to make and I would do it again. Gladly even. Just don't make a fuss about it! ;-p

The only thing non-edible about it was the wires in the wings and the straws. The dreaded e-vile straws were a last minute fix.

At least that's what I thought when I saw this picture... I'm more tan than someone from South Carolina!?!? Anyway... This is my good friend Michaela. No, she isn't Lutheran. ;-p We've known eachother since we were babies and I was bald. Normally I get to spend several days each summer with her but she only came out to the Horner Asylum once this year <sniff>.  We spent our one precious day at the fair and at the pool. I had my first snack from the pool consessions stand. That's pathetic...

It was a DaaaAAaaArk and spooky night... A crazy girl forced her poor mother to take a picture of her latest dress... and this was the result.

This is not the pink polka dot fabric I mentioned before. This is in fact the dress I'm entering in the 4-H fair.

Tommorrow I'm leaving for the camp I was volunteered for and then I have HT so I might not post for two weeks. <sniff> I will try to keep a journal of everything and even write up "La Dee Da #3" in any spare time I might have. I am also plotting a Weasley/Horner unauthorized parody. Hehehe. 6_9

p.s. I miss the Stuckwisches! We drove by their house yesterday... <SNIFF>!!!

"To what?" you ask... "Many things" is my reply.

#1 : TEA! I've been drinking three cups a day. THe temperatures are in the 90s! Why on earth am I drinking hot tea? I geuss I'm just crazy.

#2: The Phantom of the Opera!!! I could watch it two times a day but as it is I only squeezed it in three times in the past week. When I can't watch it I sit down at the piano and practice the music. I made my brothers watch it yesterday while we snapped beans. At first Martin cried and said how much he hated it but after a while he was crying again because Mom was trying to get him to come help with something else.

#3: Harry Potter! Yes, I'm in it's clutches. I'd forgotten how funny that book is. I had also forgotten why I like Dumbledore so much. Why does he have to die?!?!? ::sniff:: I realized that he goes "Ahem" before saying things that might annoy certain people. I often do that as well...

I'm becoming more and more excited about For You every day. Last night I had several nightmares about getting there late and forgetting to register. <shudder>

I'm supposed to be getting ready to go to the lake and cleaning the house so... bye for now!

This is guaranteed to be another very un-orthadox Random Anan post so brace yourselves.

NOTE: If you have ever done any of these things... you are forgiven. We all live by the grace of God and I don't expect anyone to be perfect. I have good reasons to point these things out because not everyone understands why I get so cranky sometimes.

I think the easiest way to make me cranky is to be rude to me. Here are some other examples: Say dresses are stupid, say country music is annoying or stupid, say stereotypeish things, and correcting me when I have a slip of the tongue (that's one of the worst).

You can tell I'm really cranky if I change into jeans and a T-shirt. I.e. on the last day of The Feast I wore jeans and a T-shirt. My DtbL shirt is the one exception to this rule.

There are some more particular things I could say but I don't want to drag this post out. So please consider these things carefully and remember that I forgive you.

This indeed is "The Cake" so in case you weren't convinced that I'm a cake decorating freak... Now you have proof.
