My Mom is Not a Spaz

Posted At: 10:09am by Anan

My Mom is not a spaz (Mrs. Stuckwisch isn't either.) If I had to put up with even half of the nonsense they deal with every day, there wouldn't be any little children left to populate the planet. They never run through the yard screaming, I've never seen either one of them throw hard boiled eggs across a yard, and they don't burst into tears when someone climbs over a gate.

I am amazed by their presence of mind in these situations! They almost always handle it in a much more dignified manner than I could ever manage. If a nine year old boy was climbing on *my* furniture I would toss him out a window... but all our windows are still intact. This is only because it isn't my jurisdiction to "parent" the nine year old. When even my gentlest chidings make a 7yo girl burst into tears, it pretty much makes me fall apart as well.

Maybe some of you envy this havok. It seems pretty crazy to me, but I guess it's possible. I suppose I prefer the screaming and giggling of 13 other children to sitting alone in a house. It might make me very depressed to think that there are others who always have little children around, who when they aren't beating you with sticks, can be very adorable and endearing.

So maybe I'm thankful, or at least I should be, but I sure don't "feel" like it most of the time.

Current Mood

Posted At: 10:08pm by Anan

I'm in such a funk I want to buy a $99 dress. Now, this isn't the real Anna speaking, but the evil Anna. The Anna who wants to hijack a car and go give everybody what-for. Hopefully this will wear off before the morning. We'll see. Ooh!

 I'm feeling expensive. Muwahahaha!!! _Stay_Away_

OOooooOoo... This is only $18!

Ninjas Better Than Pirates Fitted T-Shirt

It says "Ninjas are better than Pirates" I NEED one. NOW!

We is back

Posted At: 1:09pm by Anan

Yes, Precious...

I guess I forget that there's anyone interested in whether I survive a trip  or not (besides myself). I suppose I can always count on Pasto'.

Yes, we did make it back alive. Granted it was an hour later than we said it would be. *Evil grin* We had to stop in in the Fashion Mall in Indianapolis on the way back. They have a J.Jill store there! And it turns out that they're opening one on Grape Road! WoOt!

The only thing we changed in Bloomington is that there is now one less dead Easter Lilly in the choir room at University Lutheran. We dropped in there after we were done talking to the fashion peeple, and  they recieved the latest issue of HT Magazine last week! Pasto! Where is your mail stack?!?!?!!?? GAAAAAAHHHH! Other than that our visit to the church was very encouraging. They even have a pipe organ!! Icing on the cake...

It turns out that you are *not* required to work in the theatre department to complete the fashion certificate. Their website is extremely outdated. Neither are you required to have an internship at all, let alone one in a theatre. Yippee!

Since this whole thing was so last minute we didn't have much of a chance to talk to the organ department, but we did snag one of the instructors for a minute and she showed us some of the organs. They will have entirely new organ faculty by the time I would be there.

I'm uber tired at the moment, so maybe I'll say more later, or maybe I'll be difficult and refuse to. We shall see.

IU Bloomington

Posted At: 11:52am by Anan

Mommy and I are leaving this afternoon for Bloomington, and we'll be visiting the campus tomorrow. I recieved a lovely brochure from them recently. It features a picture of a bespectacled young man who needs a shave and it says "Anna... there's LIFE after *insert address here*"  It's the most convincing college info. brochure I've ever recieved so I decided to visit the campus. :p LOL

Never fear for I shall be returning Wednesday night and won't be missing any (more) Emmaus events.

OK I admit it...

I do enjoy it when people in the fabric store stare at what I'm wearing. Nowhere else though, it's only acceptable in a fabric store. I get all excited as I watch them shop for PJ fabric and I'm embarking on another 50s dress venture.  Maybe I take too much pleasure in making people envious, or maybe it's just because I'm a girl. :p The looks on people's faces are always what fun. Are they wondering where I got the pattern? (The Most Awesomest Dress Pattern Ever BTW.) Are they wishing I would just go away? That's very likely actually.

Well anyway...  I got fabric for the Doreana's Wedding Dress, and no, it isn't the blue polka dots, they were all out of that. It's peachish pink solid with same color roses emroidered on it. It's very similar to the color of Monica's dress actually...

I wanted the red roses fabric but it isn't appropriate to wear red to a wedding (unless you're a bridesmaid and the bride *wants* you to wear red.) And I thought crossword puzzle fabric was a little too crazy. Bummer.

I just realized today that there is supposed to be dancing at Doreana's wedding... *mumble* It'll take alot of Dr. Pepper to make me participate in that! (See "The Delicious Strawberry Dr. Pepper Float" in the "Especially Awesome" links section.)
